What's a Long-Term Validation?

When checking the signed documents on the pdf viewer, it's always stated that the signatures are LTV enabled. What's that for?

Simply put, if a digital signature has a Long-Term Validation feature, it means that the signature will remain valid even if the digital certificate expires. It's also a requirement under the eIDAS regulation. Hope this helps!
